General Car Specifications -All Classes
1. O.M.E. – Original manufactures equipment for that make of car.
2. Stock replacement – Readily available direct replacement for that make of car.
3. The number of armature magnets cannot exceed two except for the Open Competition Class.
4. No tire glue or dressing.
5. One guide pin per car. May be glued in place.
6. Hot Stock Armature – Min. ohms 5.8. May be trued, balanced, expoxied & polished.
7. The procedure for measuring ohms is to average all 3 poles after a 5 min cool-down.
8. Maximum width 1 5/16 (1.3125) inch for all classes to be measured from the body, chassis or wheels.
Body length 3” max. Cars must pass through the tech block freely, no exceptions.
9. Maximum lateral movement for axles: 1/32 (0.0313) inch.
10. Any controller may be used providing that it does not increase the available voltage. No auxiliary batteries,
capacitors or supplemental power supply that can supply power to the car after track power is shut off.
11. New parts protocol. New parts will be legal if they meet the following criteria:
11.1 Parts must be readily available for at least 30 days prior to race day.
11.2 Parts must be approved by the Competition Director. The CD will base his decision on the availability of the item,
the cost of the item and the possibility of the new part making earlier parts obsolete.
12. Lubricants and cleaners. Any lubricant or cleaner may be used provided that it does not get on the track.
13. Unless otherwise noted axle shims and spacers may be added to locate axles and gears providing that they do not
add significant weight.
14. Loose axle holes may be repaired using Superglue, idler gear posts may be expanded.
15. For races held at the Langhorne Model Speedway and Alliance Park cars will be permitted to use a covering
on the pickup shoes such as braid, wipers, braiders etc. due to the low braid on the track.
16. Tech. (post race) will be done by the roll of the dice after each event. Even number tech will be done. Another roll of a single dice
will determined which 3 of the top 6 cars will be tech. Odd numbers no tech.
17. Any specification not listed will be determined by HOCOC officals. Their decision will be final.
